David Pyefinch - Director and Editor

David Pyefinch started by making a variety of his own scripted low budget short films in various backyards, including;
Surprise (1990), Filthy Burger (1992), Getting a head to get her (1995).
He went to the Victorian Film and Television school in 1996 where he completed a graduate diploma in writing and directing film and television.  In 2004 he made the short film, Fabio’s Kitch’n which was exhibited at the premier “Slow food on film festival” in Bra, Italy. He was DOP and co-editor on the short film, The Little Women by Greg Williams, a winner of many awards including the Tropicana award at Tropfest 2005. An accomplished sound recordist and editor he has worked on many films and has been employed as senior editor with ABC Television on the popular Collectors program. He has also made many other short films about food and recently created his own iphone app about cocktails, Cocktailsatmypad.
He often shoots, edits, produces and directs his own material.

Simon Gray - DOP and Writer

A graduate of the AFTRS, Simon Gray is an award-winning cinematographer based in Sydney, Australia. In May 2007, Simon received top honours at the National ACS Awards for his work on the short film Afterlife. During 2006, Simon garnered six ACS Awards, including Gold for Afterlife and Silver for The Butterfly Man, winner of The Golden Cub at the 2005 IDFA Film Festival.
In 2004, Simon was the only Australian cinematography student to be selected for the prestigious international Budapest Cinematography Masterclass. He received a Gold ACS Award, the Judges Award and a National ACS Award of Distinction, for his work on the ABC documentary Sex, Drugs and String Quartets.

Rogan Brown - Producer

Born and bred in Tasmania, Rogan has produced and released three short films in the last two years - Apple Head, which won the Hobart City Council Award for Best Tasmanian Tropfest Entry in 2010, Cupcake: A Zombie Lesbian Musical, an independently funded short released in June 2010, and Slashed, a sci-fi fantasy funded through Raw Nerve (2010). Between them, Slashed and Cupcake have so far showcased at over 20 festivals worldwide, including screenings in USA, Canada, Belgium, France, Spain and Australia.  In the last five years, he has also appeared in front of the camera: in Mark Joseph’s film promising (2006), Barrie Dowdall’s documentary Exile In Hell (2007), as the RACT man in the “Win a Mazda” campaign (2007-8), as a fisherman in Arctic Blast (2009) and in Dowdall’s Banished Women (2010). Rogan was Stage Director for Carols by the Bay (Hobart, 2009) and in 2010 was Artistic Director/Producer of Carols, and produced the musical Aladdin at the Playhouse Theatre.  He is currently producer of several other film projects.  http://www.roganbrown.com.au/

John Xintavelonis- Gregory

John has enjoyed an extensive career in corporate entertainment, stage, radio and television in his home state of Tasmania for over 20 years.  On the mainland, John has previously played Dick Woollnough/Dee Anthony in The Boy From OZ for The Production Co., Mitch in The Threepenny Opera for Malthouse, Spider/Lord Savage in Jeckyll & Hyde for TML in Korea, Mr. Braithwaite in BILLY ELLIOT The Musical for Universal/Working Title, and Pumbaa in The Lion KIng for Disney Theatrical Productions in Melbourne and Shanghai.  His Television credits include Dance Academy (ABC), City Homicide (7 Network) and John Safran's Race Relations (ABC). His Film credits include The Sound Of One Hand Clapping for Artist Services and Back From The Dead for Pocket Money Productions and his voice can be heard in the films Legend of the Guardians, AUSTRALIA, Daybreakers, Mao’s Last Dancer, Two Fists One Heart, in mini-series for CLEO, False Witness, Scorched, and on TV shows Wild Boys, Rescue Special Ops and Slide. In 2006 John was nominated for a Mo Award for his role as Pumbaa in The Lion King.
John has just appeared in the role of Mitch for the STC production of The Threepenny Opera in Septempber 2011 in Sydney, and is opening as Pseudolus in the hilarious Broadway musical A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM at Hobart’s Theatre Royal in October, followed Bawdy Panto’s Goldilocks and the Free Beers in November.
John is an Ambassador for Variety Club – The Children’s Charity, the Theatre Royal APPLAUSE program and has been a proud member of MEAA (Actor’s Equity) since 1994.

Guy Hooper - Pensive Nemes

Guy Hooper began his career as a performer with the Sydney street theatre collective Death Defying Theatre in 1984. He went on to work as an ensemble member with Circus Oz and the Murray River Performing Group before settling in Melbourne for seven years where he worked as a freelance actor in theatre (Back to Back Theatre, La Mama, Playbox) and television (Janus, The Law of the Land, Neighbours).  Before moving to Tasmania with his young family in 2008 Guy was Associate Lecturer in Theatre and Drama at La Trobe University's Albury Wodonga campus.  While in this position he also performed in productions with HotHouse Theatre, The Flying Fruit Fly Circus and Zeal Theatre as well as working as a director and writer on a range of community cultural development projects.  Guy is currently the Course Coordinator of the Salamanca Performing Arts Course in Entertainment and continues to perform in productions by the Tasmanian Theatre Company (The Messiah, Sex, Death and a Cup of Tea, Poxed).
